We are looking for a talented Lead Developer to join our team in Gliwice, Poland to lead the team building the core of our ground-breaking Digital Identity platform. You will be developing a revolutionary solution that will be used by consumers across the globe and has the potential to re-shape the way we think of our identity. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible driving innovative product development across Desktop and Mobile platforms. You’ll be working with development teams across the embedded, desktop, mobile and web spaces and using the latest technologies to build a solution that could affect the lives of millions of people. At least 5 years of experience in C++ development Expert knowledge of C++ 11 Experience developing cross-platform desktop software using C++ Experience developing software in a mixed-language environment Ability to work with large, complex codebases and maintain order Ability to understand and work with third party codebases A strong understanding of modern C++ techniques and their advantages/disadvantages A good understanding of the principles of public key cryptography Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail A track record of evaluating alternative approaches and making data driven decisions Ability to think strategically and to enable future enhancements without over-engineering Ability to communicate effectively at all levels across the business A track record of resolving technical disagreements in a collaborative manner Ability to listen well to others and rapidly assimilate new information. Excellent understanding of application and network security Excellent idiomatic written and spoken English The following experience is advantageous: Experience with mobile app development Experience developing software with JavaScript Experience using Rust Experience working with Git, GitLab & JIRA Provide direction and leadership for the team of developers working on the core of MetaCortex’s desktop product. Ensure that work carried out by team is focused on business priorities and carried out to a high standard Work with the Product Owner to ensure that requirements are met Enforce, and continually improve, development processes in collaboration with peers and engineering management Work with the Architects to ensure that the design of the system meets requirements efficiently Drive the development of high-quality code in as timely a manner as possible through a supportive team culture and strong processes. Ensure that all changes go through a security review and that security is at the heart of team thinking Ensure product code follows industry best practices for security Provide support and direction to developers and testers Work with DevOps to develop and refine deployment architecture Ensure selected technologies and platforms are the best fit for purpose Ensure product is responsive to the user and performs well with large data sets Ensure documentation is thorough and up to date Help drive continuous improvement in the product and supporting processes.
